I confirm that I have inspected the bicycle and equipment and am satisfied that they are in a suitable condition for use. I understand that minor scratches, scuffs and other normal signs of wear and use may be present and do not necessarily affect the bicycle's safety or suitability for hire. I agree to report any significant damage or safety concerns before riding.

Please read the following carefully before signing.

I wish to hire a bicycle and/or equipment from Bike Wales for road, trail or off-road cycling.

I confirm that all riders in my party are competent cyclists and capable of riding the bicycle being hired.

I understand that cycling is a potentially hazardous activity involving inherent risks, including serious injury or death, and I voluntarily accept these risks.

I confirm that I am aged 18 years or over. Where I sign on behalf of riders under 18 years of age, I confirm that I have the permission of their parent or legal guardian to do so.

To the best of my knowledge, all riders are fit to participate safely and are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs that could impair their ability to ride safely.

I understand that all riders must wear a suitable cycle helmet and ride responsibly, following the Highway Code and any instructions provided by Bike Wales staff.

I agree that all riders will use the bicycles and equipment carefully and considerately and take reasonable care of themselves, other people and the equipment.

I accept responsibility for all bicycles, helmets, locks and other equipment hired to me or my group. I understand that bicycles must be securely locked whenever left unattended and that I may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs where equipment is lost, stolen or damaged through negligence or misuse.

I agree to return all bicycles and equipment by the agreed return time and understand that additional hire charges may apply for late returns.

I understand that Bike Wales cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage arising from the normal risks associated with cycling. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Bike Wales where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

I confirm that I have read and understood this Rider Hire Agreement and agree to all of the above terms and conditions.
